For those of you who follow Zambian Music and Social Media drama very well, you would know that D Bwoy and Yo Maps used to be close buddies and later became rivals. For those who may not know the root cause of this feud. Lets quickly update you. For those of us at I Love Zed Music, we knew there was a feud between Yo Maps and D Bwoy before it even became public. It became public after Dandy Krazy’s funeral. When Dandy Krazy passed away, Yo Maps had done a tribute song for King Dandy Krazy. D Bwoy then said Yo Maps actually refused to do a collaboration with Dandy Krazy while he was still alive and wasn’t happy seeing him do a tribute song after his gone.
Yo Maps later responded back saying most artists are broke, and could not even help buying mealie meal on the funeral so he decided to feed them, a message that caused a lot of social drama if you can recall. According to Yo Maps, that message was directed at D Bwoy Telem. D Bwoy later released a song titled “Ba Mambala” which most fans referenced it to being directed at Yo Maps.
When Yo Maps was interviewed, he was asked how his relationship with D Bwoy was. He said they no longer communicated and once some falls out of his side, he doesn’t take them back. D Bwoy on an interwiew with Edna said he is cool with Yo Maps and he would not want to see his children seein him beef around with people in future. From this you can tell that Yo Maps didn’t want reconciliation while D Bwoy tried to reconcile. Today KB Killa Beats released a song titled “My Diary 16” and it featured a couple of artists including D Bwoy Telem.
On the song, D Bwoy says in pursuit of finding a hook for a song he wanted Yo Maps on, things went sour and Yo Maps ended up being a snitch. He further said After being Rich, Yo Maps turned the brotherhood to competition. Please note, he doesnt actually mention the names Yo Maps, but for those who follow Zambian Music, they know very well that was directed at Yo Maps.
