Aqualaskin has revealed that his diss song Bladi Spoti, which was aimed at Slapdee and others in the Zambian Music Industry, came from a period where he was facing so much anger and rage.
He explains “A few months ago I was deeply troubled with so many personal issues. I was filled with so much rage that I didn’t even know where it came from. So, it was quite a shock to me when I stumbled upon a podcast where an artist (Slapdee) was speaking negatively about me. It was like all their words, and even all the things I had previously overlooked, just bottled up inside me. I was overwhelmed with so much anger that it was the reason I released Bladi Spoti, ” he explained.
Following through with his plan of dropping the record gave the rapper some peace of mind at first; Yet eventually he started to have doubts about whether it was the right thing to do.
“After doing that, I felt calm, but later on, I started asking myself if it was really worth it. I don’t think it was. I questioned myself what I had really achieved by putting out that diss song. People already know I can rap, that I’m fearless, that I can insult and defend myself. But then what? That was the big question, ” he said.
